I guess we made an impression

SO This and the last 3 posts were written a while ago but due to the adoption tasks I didnt have the time to attach the pics I wanted too.. our computer is so slow with that right now...so they are all a bit out dated oh well me & my inperfections...

So upon moving in we were to attempt to keep Nelly outside during the day and put their cat Mekah out at night, in order to do this we agreed with the owners to put up a temporary fence. Only 12 feet of fencing was needed to close off their yard. Only little did we know just how temporary it would be. The first day it was up Benji had some visitors from our old neighborhood and maybe in attempt to impress the 2 young ladies he tossed his baseball bat over the fence, & then he tore that temporary fence right down to retrieve it.

We have been trying to reason and teach Benji instead of getting angry and yelling about things so…Needless to say we had a discussion…Dad would have to take time away from his play time with our family in order to fix that fence again, and maybe buy more materials to fix it too which meant more time at work to earn that money to fix the fence…and again more time away from our family. Not exactly how that works but for our 4 year old who loves time to play with Dad it had a great effect…Three days latter I found Benji rummaging through the kitchen drawer then run out the back door. I found him there by the fence with a roll of scotch tape tangled up, 2 rubber bands and piles of tape on the grass. He was mending the fence so Daddy wouldn’t have to! We really do have a sweet mischievous little boy.

After that week of craziness. I took Charitie to her first Salon and she had her hair done on Friday evening May 17th, the poor girl only got to strut her stuff in Lowes we were still packing in the tasks. She badly wanted to go to the mall with her new hair style. But on Saturday the girls left the boys to wrap up in Orem & went shopping. My Mom and sister left Sunday morning and Dan left Sunday night on a business trip. Great timing right?

I was on a mission to get our temp home in complete order so we could have our adoption home study finished as soon as possible. I felt so off track with the adoption process from the move. I give my thanks to Leigh for helping me pick out 2 book shelves & then completely assembling them by herself. I had places to sort the junk we brought with us & the home looked great. I am actualy proud of the orderly ness of the home, it is amazing how much easier it is to keep a house when you are down to only your escentials.

I took some pics of the house because it was such a big deal to me to have unpacked it all myself but decided not to post them because we are renting. You could convince me otherwise if you want to.

What I will remember about this move is it’s the one Dan fell in love with plastic wrap…
If it doesn’t fit in a box wrap it in plastic. From a couch to a vase, wrap it in plastic! I mean we went through 3 rolls of giant sticky wrap. Dan Had Fun!!!

And I venture to say we will never move again with out it!

Wow. Looking at my calendar amazes me what we got done in so little time. Thanks to Nana and Charitie if you hadn’t come I know it never would have happened so smoothly, and it if did happen at all I think Dan and I would be in marriage counseling for the next 6 weeks we are in the rental. Having Nana their really help lighten my mood…as I was not particularly happy with these arrangements Dan made.
We finished packing the last of the house from Saturday to Tuesday May 10-13th and took the load to storage 20 min. away! (to bad Dan had forgotten the key & had to call me before they could unload the truck!) We had amazing neighbors and friends show up to help they were awesome.
The rest of the week was spent making more trips to storage and the rental then we thought we would be, and cleaning, painting & mending our home.
Benji never made it to bed before 11:30 pm & the rest of us usually saw morning before “hitting the hay”. Yep Dan underestimated how much time it would take to get it all done, & how much junk we had to move, but the painful memory fades and in the end we left the home looking great, so good in fact Benji & I were not the only ones sad to leave it.

Does that saying “leave the place looking better then when you got there” apply to your home or just your camp sight? I mean I always feel good when we clean up the campground to look like no one was there but leaving your home looking better then when you lived there just doesn’t seam fair. I mean cant it be that nice while you live in it?

Back online!

Wow I cant think of another month when there has been so many big events taking place on in my life other then preparing for a mission or coming home from my mission-and getting married 6 weeks latter.

I guess this is the way we like to do it, cram it in and get it done as fast as possible add a little craziness and fun and you have the Dangelmers. Really it hasnt been a month since I last blogged but 3 1/2 weeks. I also discovered that it is easier to blog as you go then look back and fill it in latter, (although my journal got a few pages filled) but because “Qwest has the spirit of service” we have been with out Internet for the full 3 weeks and only 4 days ago were back online.
So here comes the run down and then I will have many pics to follow I guess. Oh shoot out of time,After I exercise, Benji & I are heading out to The Aquarium with Friends Miss. from my mission & her Benji and Zach. I’m sure I will have some more pics from that too. Bet you cant wait!!
